How Can A Collapsed Lung Be Treated?

I have a small part of one lung collapsed. The doctor is hoping it will open by it self in time. I have had prednisone therapy and its somewhat better. I would like to know if there is some foods that are better for me and some exercises that would be beneficial for me.

Hi,

Though there is no specific food that may be advisable for a collapsed lung good balance diet is anyhow needed. Yes, exercises may be of very help. These include forceful inhalation and exhalation.

This can be done by taking forcefull deep breath in through the mouth. This is done best by a special device we call triflow.

But that is not necessary and can be done with any clean pipe to blow through and suck in. These exercises may help open the collapsed lung many times.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
