Slightly swollen this am, called nurse line and based on symptoms, determined i didn t need to be seen at that point. i watched it all day. now it s getting pink in the area around the puncture. not sure swelling has increased. what to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Nothing much to worry as it is a local abrasion with superficial inflammation.

You can apply topical antibiotics like mupirocin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
