How Can A Calcified Bartholin S Cyst Be Treated?

I just left the ER for a bartholin cyst. They did not have any catheters there so they lanced it hoping to drain and relieve my pain. I’ve had this cyst for about 9 years now, I developed it during a pregnancy and my doctor would not treat it due to infection risk for the baby. It was not painful, or large so I never bothered with it afterward. Now my ER doc is saying that it is calcified, and he couldn’t get anything to come out when he lanced it. Where do I go from here? I now have a cyst that has been cut open, yet none of the pressure is relieved, it is painful, and I want it gone!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I suggest you to take a USG and consult a surgeon for the further removal of the calcified cyst. Also you can to take tablet Hifenac D BD (twice daily after food) for 3 days for temporary relief of pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini
