How Can A Blood Clot In The Calf Can Be Treated?

Hi! My question is about gallbladder attacks. I have read that an attack can cause chest pains as if you're having heart attack. My husband, 74, just spent 6 days in the hospital being admitted for chest pains. A blood clot was discovered in his right calf. Heart catch preformed on Monday proved to be clear. His symptoms have also included recent vomiting and diahrea. He has persistent gas always! He was on Heparin IV in hospital, Now taking Xarelto twice daily. I would also like to understand how the clot disintegrates. Thank you for your attention.

Hello,

The cause of clot in calf is Deep Vein Thrombosis.

Management includes blood thinners as you are already taking Rivaroxaban drug which disintegrates the blood clot within period of time through its actions at micro cellular levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
