How Can Valium Be Removed From The System?

I am taking prescription 2 mg valium once daily prescribe by my doctor. I have been taking it for 10 months for anxiety after my dad passed away. I have a pre-employment drug test tomorrow. Even though I have a prescription, I am still concerned. Will drinking water flush it out?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Valium is a long acting drug and it does not leave the body so quickly. The use of excess water will not have an effect. You would need to let them know about the medication and the reason for its use.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
