How Can UTI Due To Vesicoureteral Reflux In A 10-month-old Girl Be Treated?
my 10 months old grand daughter has had 3 vesicourteral Uti s, this one has only been a month and half ago. The doctor said the last one was resistant to the antibiotic. Now, the new antibiotic did not work. How serious is this to her kidneys? She has all of the test and was to be an antibiotic for at least a year. But is this normal to change 3 different antibiotics? Than you
"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -
1)Do a clinical exam by your treating Urologist and do following tests [urine RE/ME/Culture], CT scan and [cystoscopy] to confirm the cause behind infection.
2)Do take treatment as per exact findings only.
Do follow few lifestyle modifications like this -
1)Try to drink plenty of liquids, especially water. Drinking water helps dilute her urine and it will control reinfections.
2)Try to wipe from front to back. Doing so after urinating and after a bowel movement helps prevent bacteria in the anal region from spreading to the vagina and urethra.
3)Try to avoid potentially irritating feminine products.
