Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been struggling with urinary bladder issues since February 2017. What started as a bladder infection went on to also be a yeast infection and now l struggle with bladder pressure, burning in pelvic area, pain in urethra area. I sleep all night and feel no problem when I wake up in the morning until i get our of bed and then the symptoms begin. I have tried several medications with limited relief. Very confused and frustrated. I am been seeing an Urologist since March. I am soon to be 60.
After urine culture test start proper antibiotics under doctor's suggestion. Drink more water to flush out a bacteria and dilute a urine. Maintain proper hygiene. Cranberry juice is helpful in uti.. Urine alkalytic agent is helpful. Avoid spicy food. Recurrent bladder infection may be because of diabetes or urethritis or prostate problem or other reasons. Consult a urologist for further diagnosis. Treat underling cause.
I hope this will help you. Get well soon.. Thank you.
