General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If he has both tests positive it means he has got the disease which may be asymptomatic sometimes,

I would strongly recommend visiting an STD clinic to screen for other infection as well. They would give the treatment as well.

Regarding your chance of getting the infection, it's best to avoid sex until the infection is treated. If to be done, the condom must be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
