Only temporary relieft with immodium but pain doesn t subside. Abdominal pain throughout abdomen that is constant achy and crampy. A sharp pain on the left side about six inches above the navel. Back aches both sides mid back. :ethargic and I have an increased appetite. Am drinking clear fluids along with regular foods and yogurt. Usually these episodes may come and go a couple times in a month. Can you suggest anything else?

4)For prescription medications you can talk about

a)[Dicyclomine] for pain

d)[Rifaximin] for secondary bacterial infections

Do follow few lifestyle modifications like this -

1)Try to eat a moderate amount of soluble fiber.

2)Don't eat foods at opposite temperatures, such as ice-cold water and steaming hot soup, in the same meal.

3)Drink water an hour before or after meals, not while you eat.

4)Do take a probiotic caps like [Lactobacillus] and [Lactase enzyme]caps regularly.

Hope that helps
