Ibuprofen can be used as an anti-inflammatory agent, and if further pain medication is needed, contacting the primary care provider may allow stronger narcotic pain medication to be prescribed...

how to prevent kidney stones? Please advice....

Hi, I recently had a kidney stone and I just received the results from my blood/stone analyses. My parathyroid levels are normal, and all of my nutrients are in a normal range. I got to the stone analysis section, and it says that the stone is made of something called mucin. Can someone explain what this is, and how I can prevent future stones? Thanks.

I had a kidney stone (4.0mm in size) as well as UTI causing lower abdominal pain, frequent urination and bloody urine with burning sensation in last year, 2016 and the stone was flushed with urine through more water intake during under the treatment in local hospital. My doctor prescribed to take antibiotics intravenously, some syrup (Potrate SF) and tablets to fight UTI and Stone symptoms. After fifteen days, I was completely out of problem and remain same up to 11/05/2017. But, on 11th May 2017 I have felt same strong urge to frequent urinate with almost no urine and the back pain throughout the night. In the next morning I have consulted with my local doctor and he prescribed some oral antibiotic tablets for five days along with Potrate SF and other medicine. Now, all the pain and frequent urination has gone and I feel quite well. However, I am afraid of reinfection again in the future. Is there any really good option to reduce the chances of UTI and kidney stone in the future. Kindly Suggest. Thanks in advance.

I have a horseshoe kidney located right below the belly button. I have all the symptoms that go along with gallstones and or pancreatitis. I get stabbing pain right below the breast bone towards the naval area that then radiates to my lover back. Had CT of belvic and abdomen and shows no inflamation but many abnormalities with organs. Blood work shows elevated liver enzymes and low white cell count. What would you think may be causing these symptoms?
