fat tumors are also called lipoma. when the lipoma are multiple,it is caled lipomatosis. it can be confirmed by FNAC, a test in which a small needle will be pricked into one of those swellings and material aspirated will be examined under a microscope. not at all a serious problem except cosmetically. surgery is a treatment option but is reserved for only those swelling which are either interfering with your daily routine, or are painful/ prone to trauma or for cosmetic reason. unfortunately there is no treatment to stop them from increasing in size or number.

Fat tumors, you mean to say that the ones called as Lipoma, if that is the case then you need not worry. I have read in many articles that it is not at all serious and does not have the tendency to turn into a cancer. Treatment I guess, it should be taken out with surgery. Just check it out with a doc.

Five days ago my Dad had a quarter-sized tumor (pituitary macroadenoma)removed through nasal surgery. They had to use belly fat to plug the nose. Post-op, they completely over medicated him (actually admitted to it), to the point that we struggled to wake him up. After they got his pain and breathing under control, everything then was fine--at least on paper with his vitals. However, he s completely agitated, doesn t listen to instructions, is fidgety, makes mean comments (as though he has zero filter), and is almost child like and is self-absorbed (I m not saying that in a mean way, it s just the easiest way to describe how he is acting). My dad has always been a really direct person, but this is really extreme. He basically got my mom to take him home after only 2 days post-op in the hospital. He s sleeping a lot, just starting to eat, but his mind is racing a mile a minute and his behavior is the same. There s no way she can leave him alone at home right now, but she has a job and I m just worried. Is this normal? Will he ever return to normal with his emotions? It s just really upsetting. I get that it s only been 5 days since major surgery, but is this normal? Will any medication help? He sees the endocrinologist later this week. GP did blood work today. All results normal, except we didn t get thyroid test back. Thank you, any insight is much appreciated

I also have another question not related to weight loss but I think I have been using make-up that makes my eyes itchy and I have been rubbing my eyes and they are red and look irritated besides changing my makeup what should I use to fix that? That in advance for your advice and help

I have a lipoma in my back, near my shoulder blade. What options are available to me to remove it? i realize it is elective surgery, and i have been advised that excision was my only option (that was about 5 years ago) and that to have it excised would leave quite a scar. I wondered if liposuction as ever been used for removal of lipomas? And if so, what is the prognosis for the procedure for a lipoma?
