How can I make my boyfriend stop worrying about my heart ?

How can I make my boyfriend stop worrying about my heart?
I have Angina (unstable chest pains) a lot of the times. I haven't been tested for what causes it, and I have no prescriptions for it. I told my boyfriend about it and my friend blabs to him about what Angina is and the fact its letting you know theres a heart attack coming soon if you don't calm down, relax, treat it, or take medicine. So now he's freaking out and is worried about me. I get the pain a lot of the time. I sometimes end up crying cause it hurts to much. He's so afraid of losing me because of a heart attack. I started to talk to him calmly about it and reassure him I'll be okay. He was fighting back tears >.< What should I do? How can I help him relax and not worry about it too much? ~Snow-Crystal Angel

Please pay attention to this nurse who's telling you that you absolutely must have this chest pain evaluated by a physician. Your boyfriend's worry is very well placed. If you do not have this pain taken care of you definitely could have a major heart attack or you could die. This is nothing that should be taken lightly. You have no way of knowing that you will be OK, so reassurances are useless. Please, see a doctor pronto.

My boyfriend is 22 years old and generally in good physical health, however over the past two months or so he has been suffering with some episodes of symptoms he has convinced himself are heart-related. They are: - Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing - Feeling like he s getting palpitations - Pain in chest and sometimes pain in right upper arm and armpit - Lightheadedness and dizziness - Rapid heart rate (I ve felt his pulse racing when he has one of these episodes) He s been to his doctor about it a few weeks ago and was told he is suffering from panic attacks. Trouble is he doesn t experience any feelings of anxiety or panic and the episodes usually occur when he is at rest. He doesn t look like anyone having a panic attack that I have ever seen, and none of the suggestions they gave him for dealing with panic attacks have helped. He has also been to the ER about it, where (I think) they gave him an EKG and that was all normal. I m so worried about him - I know with his age a heart condition is unlikely, but not impossible is it? He thinks he s ****ed himself up due to smoking - he s quit now, but was smoking fairly heavily on and off for the past year or so, and sporadically before that since the age of 16 or so. What are the possibilities here? How can he make his doctor take him seriously and do some more tests to determine the cause of his discomfort? It s beginning to affect him mentally and emotionally as he can t concentrate through worrying, which I think is making it worse. :( Neither of us feel like the doctors can be bothered to find out the true cause.

Hello, I am a 24 year old female and I have been suffering from heart palpitations for 2 days now, this is the third day. I ve stopped drinking tea and coffee because I thought perhaps I had had too much caffeine. I ve really not been able to sleep well, I am very aware of my heart beating so very hard throughout the night and I have been unable to sleep on my side as I feel my heart restricted and beating in a way which frightens me. I do suffer from anxiety but I have not suffered an attack for around 6 months. this feels like a physical problem as opposed to one related to stress. I have never before felt my heart beat this way and for so long. Can you help? I m very worried.

sometimes my heart will beat really fast out of nowhere, like there is a spasm and its really uncomfortable and it makes it hard to breath and everything is almost completely black to where i can only kinda see outlines. usually if i sit down and try to breath it will just stop, like it wasnt even there, but last time it happened i was in school and it didnt stop for almost 10 minutes and it was on and off for about 45min. does anyone know what, why, or how i can stop this?

I have had migraine headaches since I was 12 years old; I am now 65 years old. Everyone in my family has them, both maternal and paternal sides. We can trace them back to my great-grandmother. I have been using Imitrex since it came on the market....
