How Can I Keep Myself Hydrated While Suffering From GERD And Vomiting?
My daughter is 21 and had her tonsils out yesterday. She has GERD and is throwing up all day today. We ve stopped giving her Motrin because it makes her more sick. We re still trying the Tylenol. what can we do to keep her hydrated if she can t keep anything down?
* Best way to get control of vomiting would be the sublingual tablet of ondansetron with empty stomach intake of rabeprazole, Mylanta syrup for early recovery.
* Current active infection or other cause of vomit must be sorted out. If the vomiting persists after the intake of antiemetic, the only option would be left is to hospitalise the patient and intensive management with intravenous medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
