Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
treatment depends whether the bursae is infected or not.
if it is not infected try rest, icing and compressing , sit on a foam ring.
aspiration of fluid can help.
along with pain killers and anti inflammatory medication.
physiotherapy can help.
ask the physiotherapist for weight reduction exercises, stretching exercises. avoid stair climbing and direct pressure on the affected hip( sleep on the other side)

if infected:
requires antibiotic therapy
repeated aspiraton
bursectomy in severe cases
