How Can Down Syndrome With Different Symptoms Be Treated?
Hello,,, I would like to tell you my twin brother health problem, and I hope to get the answer that will help me to know the proper treatment for him. We are now at the age of nineteen, my mother was pregnanted twins from girl and boy. I was born perfectly healthy, and my twin brother, was born and has health problems, during the doctors tests show us that he has Down syndrome, but the symptoms experienced by patients with different bit of Down Syndrome. I do not know if there is a treatment for him and he is at the age of nineteen.

First be clear that down syndrome is genetic mutaional disease and it has multisystem involvement.So no standard one treatment available for it.
Here your brother has to be encouraged and not to be stressed.Yes there is different presentation of symptoms in different person.So according to patients condition treatment done.
Ex.If heart defect then surgical intervention needed.
If GI tract problem then suitable diet taken.
Down syndrome is disability so he will get free educational programme services.
To improve muscle strenth physical therapy given.
For speech and language defect , speech therapy helpful.
Teach your brother about routine work to do properly like eating , dressing etc.
Amino acid supplement found to be helpful for development.
