How Are Skin Warts Transmitted?

Recently my child had a tumble and his lip was injured and cut. I was applying Vitamin E oil out of a capsule to his clean wound and remembered that I had, in the past had a small common wart on my thumb. I accidentally touched the capsule to this thumb just before applying it to his open lip, I am worried that I exposed him to warts on his lip by doing this. Is it possible that he could get the wart virus from this kind of contact? The wart on my thumb was treated last year but you can still see what looks like a little scar tissue there, so I m not sure if its still contagious.

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
You might be suffering from plantar warts.
These are viral infection caused by HPV virus.
Treatment is by local application of keratolytics like salicylic acid.
If you dont get relief with these, radiofrequency ablator can be used to destroy the virus affected skin.
Maintain personal hygiene, wash your feet twice daily with soap and water.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
