How Are Bladder Polyps Typically Removed?
How are bladder polyps typically removed? My husband had cystoscopy and I thought the lesion could be removed via that procedure, but his doctor said surgery will be required even though it is quite small. Is there a non-invasive manner of doing this or are you cut?????

Your concern is understandable.
As an Urologist, let me assure you, that bladder polyps are treated by endoscopic surgery, which is a painless operation. But, all polyps don't need surgery, unless, they bleed or become complicated.
The polyps can cause symptoms, which are then confirmed with urine ,blood tests and further ultrasound / CT scan abdomen.The final test is a cystoscopy with biopsy, if indicated.
