How Accurate Will Be The Pregnancy Test Kit Results?
Hi, I am sexually active and had unprotected sex about 2 wks ago. I also had a period a few days ago that didn t seem like my usual period. Well, I went out for a few drinks last night. I woke up fine and everything was normal ( I have never experienced a hangover) but as the day has gone by I noticed that I started feeling weak and faint like, as well as I have a little nausea and my breast are a little tender. I was wondering if I m dealing with a hangover or if I may be pregnant. Should I take a test and how accurate would it be if I took a pregnancy test a few days after what I think may be an actual period?
Hello, If you have had the unprotected intercourse during your fertile period, your chances of conception are high. You can either get a home pregnancy test 3-7 days after the missed period or go for an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres at least ten days after the intercourse. If positive, you should get a proper evaluation by an expert along with a trans-vaginal sonogram to assess the status of your pregnancy. Your symptoms are non-specific and need evidence. Hope your query has been clarified. Take care.
