How Accurate Is A PCR Test Within Two Months?
hi i have an HIV question about PRC testing. I had an exposure on April 25 where the person was HIV+ and we both bottomed with condoms and had oral without condoms. no ejaculation from neither of us. I am very worried still that I caught the virus. I had diarhia about a week after, light joint pain and got a jock itch that i m not sure if related. My question is how accurate is a PCR test given my timeframe of exposure? I did a test on June 6th and got the results today that were negative

I repeatedly reply this kind of question . A single test has got no meaning . You have to get tested under a protocol of your country..Acquisition of HIV has a lot of variables -whether the partner is positive, if positive on drugs or not , type of exposure etc. Please do not speculate about symptoms of HIV
