How A Pain In Rib Cage Be Treated?

I have been told by a physician s assistant at an internist office and she feels I have a pull or possible tear of rib cartilage on the right side in my back. I have a very high pain tolerance but this pain is horrible and truly wearing on me; however, nothing is working for the pain. Any suggestions?

Hi,

It may be a condition called costochondritis. It is nothing but an inflammation of rib cartilage.

As of now, you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Tramadol for pain relief.

Generally, the symptoms will settle by itself.

If symptoms persist you can consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
