Home Pregnancy Test Positive. Later Negative Result With UTI. Having Pregnancy Symptoms. Advice?
Hi I took a pregnancy test on 10/25/12 positive then 10/26/12 positive and 10/28/12 positive (I ve taken 3 one step pregnancy test the cheap ones and all three are positive). On 10/29/12 I went to the emergency room just to have a pregnancy test done to see what they was gone say and there s came back negative and the doctor told me well try again in a few more days the only thing he seen wrong was that I now have an UTI! I never missed a period but this month October I did and this is my first time having real sore/tender breast , even my eating habits have changed and right now I m just confused. I don t think I should go to the health department because there s night say negative also I don t know. What should I do?

POSSIBILITY OF THE EMERGENCY ROOM URINE TEST TO BE FALSE IS MORE.
YOU TOOK THREE HOME PREGNANCY TEST. ALL THREE OF THEM BEING FALSE POSITIVE IS NOT POSSIBLE.
ALSO YOU HAVE MISSED YOUR PERIODS AND YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS OF SORE AND TENDER BREASTS WITH FATIGUE.
ALL THIS ALONG WITH POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST SHOW THAT YOU ARE PREGNANT.
THE REASON WHY THE EMERGENCY ROOM TETS WAS NEGATIVE CAN BE MANY LIKE CONTAMINATED URINE COLLECTION, FAULTY TECHNIQUE OR ERROR IN REPORTING.
I SUGGEST YOU GO FOR AN ULTRASOUND DIRECTLY ONCE YOU AROUND 6 WEEKS FROM YOUR LAST PERIOD DATE. THIS WOULD MAKE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT.

There is a possibility that the test done in emergency room would be false positive. It is unlikely that three test done at home all being false positive.Urine pregnancy test detects the presence of beta HCG in urine & it is present than the urine pregancy comes positive.
You can get your Serum Beta HCG levels now & if they are raised than that confirms you are pregnant. You also have the symptoms of pregnancy so the possibility is that you are pregnant.
You can also get your sonography to document the fetal heart activity at 6 weeks for your day 1 of last menses.
