Hoarse Voice. Endoscopy Shows Polyps On Right Vocal Cord. History Of Diabetes. Causes?

i have been having hoarse voice & my endoscopy examination indicates polyps on the right vocal cord. i do not smoke & drinkh however I am a type 2 diabetic with controlled sugar level through use of combination drugs. Since being on these drugs, I have developed frequent barbs. What can be the cause of polyp & is there a non surgical option

Exact cause of polyp is not known,though smoking and voice abuse are thought to be contributing factors.There is no treatment other than surgical for removal of polyp.
