Suggest Cure For Headache And Ear Pain After Hitting Hard On A Metal Bar

Hit the top right side of my head pretty hard on a metal bar, it didn’t hurt at first but the next day It hurt whenever my body vibrated (stepping down hard, jumping, etc.). It’s been 3 days and I’ve had almost a constant headache, and now I have a pain in my right ear, any idea what’s going on or am I overreacting?

Hello,

It may be due to blunt trauma.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

In case of ear bleeding you may require CT scan brain after neurologist consultation.

Do regular blood pressure monitoring.

Watch for symptoms like giddiness, seizure

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale, Family and general physician
