Hit On The Nose And Eye Area, Severe Swelling And Bruising With Nausea And Dizziness, No Vomiting. Treatment Required?

my mom fell and hit her nose/eye on the edge of a cabinet. It instantly swelled and had little red spots around the swelling . Her nose was bleeding . It has been about an hour and her eye is already bruised. She has nausea and dizziness but has not vomitted. She also has a little round bruise above her nose and her nose is swollen. Should I take her to the ER?

Hello,
Yes of course you should take her to the ER. Nose and eye is a very delicate area and since it was bleeding also, so there is a possibility of internal injuries there. She needs to be evaluated by the doctor to determine the extent of her injuries. Bones are very thin in the region of nose and eyes and may get fractures easily. Nausea and dizziness is another reason that she needs evaluation. It may indicate associated brain injury.
Good luck.
