Hit on the ear with a water balloon. Filled ear with water. Muffled hearing, pain and hearing loss. What to do?

I was hit squarely on the ear today with a water balloon. The person that threw it did so very hard. The balloon popped and filled my ear with water. Now my ear sounds fuzzy or muffled-like I have cotton in it. I have drained my ear of all fluids, but I am still experiencing slight pain and hearing loss . I do not have ringing or buzzing. What might have happened?
