History Of Prostate Cancer. Had Prostate Removed. Have Urinary Incontinence. Unable To Have Erection. Solution?
Yes I'm writing to you because my husband had prostate cancer about 5 years ago and the had his prostrate removed completely and then aboutv4 years later he had a male sling put in and he feels like it broke inside of him. He is having a lot of urinary inconvenience. He can't get a erection either what can he do about this situation to fix the problem? I am in desperate need of helping him but I don't know what to do
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has undergone Radical Prostatectomy for cancer of the Prostate.
He has urinary incontinence for which sling was placed to have control over urination .However the said sling has broken and he gas urinary incontinence again. He has erectile dysfunction too.
These are known sequele of this surgery .
Please consult qualified Urologist to explore the feasibility of putting artificial sphincter to have control over urination and to put penile implant so that he can have good hard erected penis to enjoy his sexual life. Dr.Patil.
