History Of Getting Tetanus Injection 3 Days After Getting Hurt. Is There Chances Of Infection?
I got hurt on Saturday evening and got Tetanus Injection on Tuesday morning but now I am worried if I can get the infection.
When I got hurt, I applied Detol Antiseptic on my wound and also I don't remember when last I got my Tetanus shot. Please advice is there any other vaccine which I should take.

Tetanus injection should be given within 24 hours after injury. The risk of tetanus infection increases with increased contamination of wound with soil or rust. As you have had proper wound care, less chances of infection. Tetanus boosters are given every 10 years. You do not have to take any other vaccine now. Proper wound care is must. Keep the wound clean and get a prescription for appropriate antibiotics from a GP nearby you for faster healing. Thanks.
