History Of Broken Nose. Difficulty Breathing, Headache, Fatigue, Weight Gain. Deviated Septum?

Hi, im claudia and im a 13 year old female. I broke my nose at a young age and i have had frequent nose problems since. Sometimes its hard to breathe, i snore, im always exhausted and get headaches alot. I also gain wieght and its very hard to lose it. I pretty much cant. I might have a deviated septum. I have a nasal-ish voice but i dont really think that can do anything with it. I dont want to get surgery becuase i might gain more wieght than from my previous surgery i got when i was 5. I used to be very skinny before my first surgery. Now i am about 5"2 and wiegh about 130.Can you please tell me what is wrong

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.

I have gone through your query regarding disfigure nose and related problems like difficulty in breathing, snoring, nasal voice etc. You have unhealthy ideas about surgery as surgery may put on your weight. Here I would like to assure you that surgery is not going to increase your weight secondarily disfigurement can't be corrected by any medicine, and thirdly if you leave it as such than there are fair chances of getting complications of chronic nasal obstruction.

I think your problem may be solve by SEPTORHINOPLASTY operation.

Regards.

hi Claudia
You must first get your nose examined by ENT specialist that you really have deviated septum which can block or its something else.
Get your thyroid status checked get done (T3 ,T4 ,TSH blood tests).
there are many other conditions whichcan cause nasal blockage not just deviated septum.
So dont get upset you might not require surgery at all.
Go see a doctor .
And start doing moderate exercises or atleast brisk walking that will secreat adrenaline in your body which will open your nose as it is a natural decongestant. and will help in weight management too.
