I understand you are doing well with explaining your situation. I am sure you are stressed out. You should also have no problems with taking medications as your general medical condition is good. Your stress is high enough that it is affecting your functioning in your daily life. I will also suggest that you do more of cardio exercises. It is also advisable that you start using swimming as your cardio exercise method as you might be hurting your legs when you do any other kind of exercise with the kind of body weight that you possess. In you situation it would also not harm to lose some weight. I hope you consult a nutritionist as well. You might want to use some over the counter analgesics when you are making these lifestyle modifications. I hope you have the time to see a psychiatrist to relieve your anxiety as well. I hope this helped.
Take care and have a lovely day !
