Sounds like a classic panic/anxiety attack. Although honestly a pulse rate of 124 is not too high. To put in perspective, when a 24 year old does a cardio work out, his/her pulse rate should be at about 155 bpm. So 124 is not enough to cause extreme duress on the heart. It does sound like an anxiety/panic attack, so you might want to consult your Doctor about your options, especially if you have any more episodes.

Hi, my mom is taking 20 mgs of lisinopril for her high blood pressure, as she had symptoms of TIA back in January of 2014. On Thursday morning while standing in kitchen preparing lunch all of a sudden out of nowhere she feels like she s going to faint and lays down on the kitchen floor. My dad took her blood pressure and it was not too high or too low. He took her to a walk in clinic and from there she was taken to ER for CAT scan because he thought there may have been some left-sided weakness. Mom stated she began to feel better before she even got to the hospital but then when stands for any length of time she will begin to feel weakness. Like today, could not stand in church. She has been having low blood pressure so doctor said to take half of the lisinopril since her blood pressure has been low. What could be causing her to feel faint when the CAT Scan doesn t show any heart issues. Anemic? Is it okay to take lisinopril and also be anemic? She is scheduled to go in for blood tests next week, but is there something to be aware of about anemia and lisinopril and is there something she could do to help the weak feeling, low blood pressure feeling in the meantime?

My girlfriend is 39.she has been randomly collapsing totally passing out.there is a brief moment where you can see she is about to pass out.her heart beat rapidly increases to around 160 BPM.then she goes.then she comes back to, within a min or so.she has real subtle breathing.she is stubborn and won t go to dr.what may be the cause for sudden fainting with such a rapid pulse.she had an Ear surgery years back that she think could be cause.she has bad odor from her ear as well.and removes significant amounts of slimy dark mucus like substance daily.ty for your time.

Hi I went to the ER earlier this evening for chest pain . I was discharged but just do not feel right....the pain had subsided by the time the ecg was done but returned before d/c. My BP had been 222/100 just before taking diltiazem and clonidine (normally I do not have high bp but autonomic dysreflexia due to incomplete SCI). It was 105/70 pulse 100-124 in ER (nurse was only in room to see it under 111 - but monitor was left on - my pulse is generally around 50-60, 70 if I m really in pain). My troponin came back ok (didn t give the actual number). Diagnosed as GI related. Given GI meds. Pain has continued in spurts with worst being about 20 minutes ago when I literally fainted. I want to go back to the ER, but I don t want to be labed a trouble pt. I live alone so it s not like I have someone here with me.
