Hi there, I have lots of warts on my legs, they have spread from shaving. I have had them frozen many times and this has not worked. I am now considering cauterising them or lasering them. Which is better? My concern with cauterising is that it will scar?
Wart is viral skin disease and it is highly contagious skin disease. It should be treated as early as possible.
Electro cautery is good office procedure done under local anaesthesia. Wart is superficial skin lesion, there is less chances of scaring. Electro cautery is a cheap and effective method to cure warts. To prevent the relapse your doctor may give immunomodulator like levamisole 50 mg daily.
