Hello,

The possible causes of the spotting in the current scenario are -
1. an impending period,
2. rough intercourse,
3. infections in the vagina, cervix or lower urinary tract,
4. polyps of the cervix etc.

Implantation is a remote possibility since you underwent sterilization and also because fertilization occurs only with an intercourse during the ovulation period. I would suggest a proper clinical exam and plan further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam,
