Are Swollen Toes, Feet, Hands And Knees Symptoms Of Chlamydia?

Hi i received a call yesterday informing me I have the sti chlamydia I been sick on and off for a month and just found this out. I woke up this morning and I can t move my toes or feet, hands, knees. They are swollen so badly there hard and I cant walk. Im not sure if I need be seen or if taking my meds will make it go away?

Hi,

Chlamydia will not cause swelling of feet and other joints as such. But one can go for Reiter's disease (reactionary arthritis)as a sequel following Chlamydial urethritis or genital infection which can manifest with the symptoms explained by you. Other causes for swelling of feet and joints are also to be ruled out.
