Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. I had an STI screen done at my doctors appointment when I was considering my options (ie medical abortion, etc). I decided to go through with the pregnancy and on Monday I had a call saying I tested positive for chlamydia. I have no symptoms and neither does my partner. I have zero doubt that he’s been unfaithful, and I know that I haven’t. I was having some female issues (utis and yeast infections) so I was completely screened for STIs twice a few months ago, with everything coming back negative. My partner went for a test but he is quite sure it will be negative. After doing a bit of research, I’ve seen that a lot of people have had false positives when they’re pregnant. I don’t want to take any medication that isn’t necessary. Is it true that this could be a false positive?
