Hi back, my 84 yo mother has been hospitalized after

Hi back, my 84 yo mother has been hospitalized after expeiriencing a MI recently and received stent in her circumflex artery. She is a rather complicated case due to several other conditions such as Afib and other heart issues for a long time. She is in good health and works hard to eat right, and stays very busy with clubs and is not over weight. Thur she was hospitalized due to 6.1 hemoglobin and Drs working to figure out the reason. She received 3 units of blood and remains in the 6's hemoglobin. Tomorrow she may be having colonoscopy. Endoscopy showed no problems. She did just report tarry stool. What else could be causing her to loose blood and be so anemic?

Hi there, I wanted to know if I could get some information about my back issue . I am a 49 year old woman in fairly good health. I am 5 9 tall and weigh 195 lbs. In the past year I have changed my lifestyle and have lost over 50 lbs. In the fall of 1994 my L4-5 disc bulged/hernitated and it also affected my right side sciatic nerve. After a hospital stay and 6 months of physio my back was not getting any better. I eventually had to have surgery. I had a discetomy and the L4-4 level and a limited laminectomy posteriorly at this operative site as well. My back seemed better for a few years then started to act up again. In 2002 I had an MRI done and the diagnosis stated theat there was a generalized bulging of the reamaining intervertebral disc at the L4-5 level without evidence of focality. Also, it stated that at the L4-5 level the posterior facet joints demonstrate very early mild symmetric degenerative change. Again, I took things easy, had physio and things seemed to be ok. Fast forward to 2011 and again I am in pain and limited mobility. My days are the worse in the mornings and in the evenings. I purchased a great bed 6 months ago because of my back problems. I have low back pressure and pain, as well as pain in my right buttock with pain radiating down my right leg. It is hard to perform any tasks below my waist ie tying up my shoe laces, picking up dropped items, washing in feet etc. Could yoy tell me a what my prognosis may be and what I may be looking forward to. Thank you.

Hi Doc My Fiance Margarita Rios has been suffering for ever from a back surgery when she was only 14yrs old becauseof this surgery she has become nothing but agony and pain , the pain is so intense that the metal rod in her back has made her very helpless. My Fiance is now thirtyseven and it has only gotten worse, not to long ago two yrars as a matter of fact she was diagnosed with overion canser my question is why does she still suffer pain if this surgery was to help her not live with pain for ever. I truly belive that the metal in her back caused the cancer, See my brother too had a rod in his leg and he also developed a rear type of cancer in the bone.Doctor EDWIN was the doctor that performed this surgery at Doctor Childrens Hospital here i Houston.

53 yo starting hRT E plus P continous patch and 5.2 cm fibroids causes back to back menses. Is this possible after a couple of weeks starting HRT for the first time or is it more likely the HRT. Fibroid discovered on pelvic ultrasound due to investing abnormal bleeding. Estrogen bloods very low indicating post menapause prior to hrt start. Thank you. Lynn
