Hi, My health insurance took me off Crestor and pays

Hi, My health insurance took me off Crestor and pays only for Rosuvastatin Calcium. I have taken it since over a year and developed muscle pain in the right thigh and hip that got so bad, that I started limping. The pains spread from the right kneecap (and skin bone) through the right thigh and hip and later at the same places on the left side (except the Skin bone). The pains last from the moment I get up in the morning and diminish over the day, since I started lately taking Ibuprofin. I was sent to several institutes and Doctors. None of them gave me a diagnosis or any medicin. Then I was sent to a Pain Management Clinic. This Doctor insisted that my pains are in my lower back and did not believe me, that those are some old pains, which very seldom act up. My statements of muscle pain met with disbelieve. He said they are already cured. The pains are very strong! They DID get better, but I still have strong difficulties walking and standing. Sitting
is no problem and sleeping neither. The pains have pretty much changed my life, since I was active and mobile before,

A few years ago I was taking Crestor. It worked perfectly and had no side effects that I knew of. I had to stop taking it for insurance reasons. About 3 months later I could get the Crestor again.I have lots of problems.Quad-bypass,kidney failure, vascular claudication etc. The meds had pretty much taken care of everything except I was falling occasionally, then several times Always Backwards. I told my PA and he said you re probably drinking too much beer. He had gotten back from Maui the day before and I think he left his mind there. So I went home so determined to figure it out. I got it! the Crestor! because I never fell after I stopped taking it. Not long after I moved back to NH. after 30 years in Arizona I had to dr. shop. My first Dr. was young and decided I didn t need pain pills I had been on qxycodone for about 5 years for degenerative disc disease, curvature of the spine, he even knew I had 2 broken Vertebrae. My main concern is/was that my AZ PA apparently put it on my record. I so hop I could prove I was right

My doctor recently took me off Lipitor and gave me a 30-day Rx for Crestor, 10 mg, about two weeks ago. In about a month, I will have blood work to check liver function. I really am unconfortable taking this med because I ve read so many reports about its safety -- some say it is a controversial Rx, others he recommended it be taken off the market. I am considering asking my doctor to switch me to a generic statin. What is your opinion of the safety of Crestor?
