Hi, I'm slightly concerned that I may have meningitis -

Hi, I'm slightly concerned that I may have meningitis - specifically bacterial meningitis - or some kind of throat infectjon. I just wanted to see if I should be alarmed. I'm running a little warmer than I normally do, and I may have a strained neck. However, I'm not sure if my neck issues are due to poor posture or potentially meningitis. Over the past few days, I've had very poor posture at my work desk and I've been sleeping in a different position. I can have full mobility of my neck, but it's slightly uncomfortable to go allc He way to the left or right. However, my throat is uncomfortable when I swallow, and is just generally uncomfortable. On the other hand, cough drops help the sore throat. So, does it seem like I just have a minor throats infection or that I should go to the hospital?

Hello! A week ago I was seen in the ER for sever headaches . After a spinal tap I was informed I had come down w/ viral meningitis . Although I m starting to feel better, I do have some concerns. First how long should I stay out of work? I am a massage therapist and esthetician so my job is very hands on and I am in close contact with my clients. Next I am a very physically active individual and would like to start working out again next week but wasnt sure how long healing takes place after a spinal tap? Lastly my only other complaint post diagnosis is that my arms are slightly numb and tingly and feel weak....obviously not condusive to massage therapy treatments . Is this normal w/ something like meningitis or something I should be concerned about? Thank you for your time in addressing my concerns. Dia L

Suggest ideal treatment for TB meningitis Hi respected physicians My wife is suffering from TB meningitis from 7.2.2017. Her age 33. She was admitted in hospital for 14 days. Her csf showed 95 % proteins and 100 percent lymphocytes. Now she s taking TB medicines Myrine P Forte containg isoniazid rimpaficin and ethambutal etc plus steroids. Currently she feels noise in head, headache, vomiting and visual turbidity while neck stiffness has shown reduction in two weeks treatment. But the main thing i want to bring in to notice is that temperature of 101 0r102 appears after 2-3 days gap and 100 temp is more often. We did LFT test in that SGPT is higher than 200 and her bilirubin level is slightly above 2. One doctor told me to stop medicine of TB for obe week and when LFTs normalise then start again. But i worry that stopping ATB in tubercular meningites would be dangerous. Kindly suggest me her situation about 1 fever 2 ATB continuty gap 3 abnormal sgpt I ll be highly thankful. Saify Email YYYY@YYYY
