Is It Possible To Get Pregnant While On Oral Contraceptives?

Hi I m 25, my period start at the 17th or 18th day of month and this month was missed already 2 weeks.. I have active sexual intercourses, but I m taking an oral contraceptives 95 percent. Its possible that I m pregnant? But my friend had the same situation. She missed period for the whole month and at 2nd month she had a period while taking oral contraceptives too.

Hi,

For a perfect contraception, you have to take contraceptive pills regularly, without a break and at a fixed time of day (that means 100% contraception). Irregular intake of pills carries risk of ovulation and can cause pregnancy and such pregnancy needs to be terminated as pills are risky for the fetus.
