Hi! I have been prescribed halcion for some dental work; one to be taken the night before and one the day of, prior to my appointment. I found an old bottle with one triazolam and an old bottle with one lorazepam. I was going to take the triazolam the night before and the lorazepam the day of - unless they counteract one another?
Thanks.

My son is having a dental procedure this morning(wisdom teeth removed) and the dentist has ordered Halcion 1.0mg po and Vistaril 75mg po. He is 6 3 and 230lbs but has never had any kind of anesthesia and has only ever had antibiotics for strep throat. That seems like alot of medication to me.

what would cause a cluster of cavities in a month? I had my teeth cleaned a month ago and nothing was evident at all. Today I just got 8 fillings on my top teeth. I am a type 2 diabetic on an insulin pump and take an antidepressant and mood stabilizer. My dentist of 25 years really didn t have an explanation. I haven t had a blood test in a while...generally my Endocrinoligist does full blood screens along with my A-1C-no red flags I had a very slight upper respiratory issue after Christmas, but didn t last long. I know I am not supposed to do this but I had some Augmenten that was prescribed for me this summer for an abdominal cyst and it didn t work but I kept it and probably had 5- 7 days of pills and I took them until I ran out. Otherwise, I have not been seriously ill or started new long term meds. Any thoughts?

I had a crown beak off over a cracked tooth that i had a root canal on. It didn t hurt when the crown broke off. Gums were a little sore when I chewed firmer food but otherwise good. I then went to the dentist to get the tooth extracted so it wouldn t end up getting infected if food got in it. He numbed me up enough we thought but when he went in for the pull the pain went beyond pressure to total mind bending pain. He refused to work on me further since the pain was too much and abnormal. The dentist referred me to an oral surgeon so i could be put under because he felt I couldn t handle the pain that shouldn t be there in the first place with local anesthesia. And he prescribed me an antibiotic, clindamycin because of my allergy to amoxicillin, because he thought i might have an infection that was causing the severe pain during the procedure. Please tell me there is some alternative to this awful antibiotic. And tell me if i need an antibiotic at all if I only felt pain in my tooth when the procedure was happening. I m scared. I had a tooth extraction before and it went just fine. Should I see a different dentist that just does normal extractions or see the oral surgeon and be put under? Thank you
