Do Triazolam And Lorazepam Counteract With One Another?

Hi! I have been prescribed halcion for some dental work; one to be taken the night before and one the day of, prior to my appointment. I found an old bottle with one triazolam and an old bottle with one lorazepam. I was going to take the triazolam the night before and the lorazepam the day of - unless they counteract one another? Thanks.

Hi,

It's not recommended to take Triazolam and Lorazepam together without consulting a doctor. They are both benzodiazepines and can have additive effects, leading to increased drowsiness and decreased cognitive function. Mixing the two can also increase the risk of adverse reactions and overdose. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medications or combining them.
