Hi, I have a runny nose which is also draining

I have a runny nose which is also draining down the back of my throat causing me to cough. Sometimes it's a gagging cough. I'm taking ibuprofen every 4 hours and that seems to try up my nose for a short period of time. Co-workers say Mucinex is the best!! Any thoughts on Mucinex?

Hi, I have a chronic runny nose (thin,watery--not thick) year round. It s long term and I suspect it from living in a small apartment with a parrot and a macaw. I can t take antihistamines because they make me extremely jittery. Normally I deal with the problem by ALWAYS having tissue with me to control the running. The problem is this: I m a beekeeper and when I m working the hives (which can be several hours at a time) I cannot use tissue through the bee veil. It s horribly embarrassing when other people are around. Any advice/help would be much appreciated!!

For years now I have a runny nose that keeps me awake at night. Every time I turn over in bed I feel all the snot in my nose drain down to the other side which makes me sneeze a lot and wakes up my spouse. When i get out of bed i feel the snot drain which causes mire sneezing. This continues throughout the day as I move my head. Before this was a problem I used to get frequent sinus headaches. Now if the drainage stops I usually get a sinus headache. How can I make this stop?

Hi. I actually have two issues. First and foremost. I think I have allergies but cant get in to see an allergist for atleast a month. the doctor said iis likely because several people in my family do have severe allergies and get the shots and take medicine. My symptoms are itchy throat causing a cough. Stuffy runny nose draining into back of my throat, watery eyes, aches and pains, headaches, and shortness of breath as well as chest tightening. I havent been able to sleep in days! They doctor gave me a prescription for a steroid. Can you reccomend anything else over the counter that will help treat my symptoms?
