Hi,

The composition of Dettol is chloroxylenol and betadine is different. Dettol can be used as antiseptic to clean wounds. If the wound is small just put a bandaid once you apply Dettol and dry it. If the wound larger than what a bandaid can cover then clean with Dettol and put betadine ointment and gauze and put a bandage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
