Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Left Cheek And Fever After Getting The Second Shingles Vaccine

Hi, I had my second vaccine for shingles on Saturday Morning. No issue with the first one. Today I woke up and notices swelling on my left cheek. Soon after I was freezing and could not get warm. I took exceedrin and now I still feel bad and the swelling has become worse. I know the fever can be due to the vaccine but I am concerned with the swelling. What Dr. should I see if it is not better Monday?

Hi,

You should keep yourself very well hydrated with warm liquids. You should take proper rest and painkillers as well as antipyretics for fever. It may take 4-5 days for the swelling to go. If you can't take orally, you need to get admitted for intravenous saline and hydration. You can check your blood counts and CRP level.
