Can Phonophoresis Cause Burns On The Skin?
Hi, I had a phonopheresis with biofreeze to my right shoulder and a few days later developed blister to the area that the transducer was. The E.R. doctor said it was shingles. Could the phonophoresis possibly caused this or burned me, since I do have metal achors sutures in my rotator cuff?

It is unlikely shingles.
As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
