Hi,

For what problem / symptoms, the emergency CT Scan was done and if you are not having fever or cough, then what was advised about those symptoms/problems and how are you feeling about those symptoms.

Opacity in upper lobe of lungs can be a sign of some previously occurred healed infections, which may not be of any significance and may not need any particular further evaluation and/or treatment. However, this may also point to one of the multiple disorders like infections, lung tumors, lymphoma, metastasis in the lungs as well as certain auto-immune disease etc.

Therefore, in my opinion, you need a further evaluation in this regards to reach at a precise diagnosis and treatment accordingly, if needed under guidance of your doctor. Prescription of antibiotic, followed by further CT scan may be a step for evaluation of the disease by process of elimination of some infection by having therapeutic trial. Hence you should talk with your doctor about the plan to be adopted for your diagnosis and treatment for a satisfactory answer to your query.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
