Hi, I m 73 years old....I ve had neophathy since I was 58 yrs and than got diagnosis with Diabetes 2 at age 62 yrs. I take metaphoine for Diabetes 2 and centrum Daily Vitamin along with iron tablet since I am iron definceny if I don t. Also take extra Vitamin B, Vitamin C and Vitamin D. In the last month or so, I have lost my appetite, my nails just keep breaking, and my eyes have been acting up....went to eye doctor and he recommented taking eye drops for dry eyes etc....seemed to help some but still not as good as they where 6 months ago....but what really bothers me is I am very tired....which is really unusal for me. I went in for my 3 month checkup a week ago....and my doctor says I seem to be in good health.... my diabetes is under control and neourapthy is something I just have to live with...nothing can be done with this....My feet are totally numb and hurt the worst at night...now I m starting to loose my balance (have gotten a cane which helps)....any recommendation?????

Hi, i was diagnosed as being pre- diabetic two months ago with an A1C of 5.8. I am female, 5 8 and 140 lbs (in a healthy range but skinny looking for my frame). What can i do to hold off or better yet, prevent becoming a diabetic? I am afraid to lose anymore weight (by exercising hard and eating little to no healthier carbs) and my GP said that bumping my weight up to 150 would not be a bad thing as i am on the low end of my healthy range. I am starting vingear before meals to see if it helps lower my sugar levels (but afraid it will make me drop weight). Any advice?

How bad is it for a lupus person to get diabetes? My husband was diagnosed with lupus a about a two yrs ago. Along with the lupus came: fibromyalgia , autoimmune hepatitis , arthritis , and psoriasis . Lately he has been feeling very thirsty and is constantly peeing. My mother thinks it may be diabetes. Do you think i should take him to a Dr? it is a side effect that has to do with the other sickness? What should i do?
