Hi. I Am A 72 Year Old Female Who Is

Hi. I am a 72 year old female who is still relatively active primarily from walking, swimming, etc. who had an old injury to my right leg approximately 20 years ago, causing collapsed ankles, mild aching, and occasional swelling in ankle/foot area, but over the past 3-5 months I've suddenly had an intense burning sensation in the lower inner knee area with some radiating aching soreness down the back, lower leg and the frontal upper area of both leg and thigh. There is also a definite soreness when I sleep if there is pressure on that inner knee area. The pain does NOT increase when moving, but the burning sensation continues regardless. I do not have a doctor since I live in Thailand, and my acupuncturist thought it might be gout. I do take turmeric with curcumin for inflammation and have tried glucosomin chondrotin for joint relief with little to no relief. How do I tell whether it's arthritis, gout or tendinitis or even a torn tendon to treat appropriately without medical determination?
