Hi, I am 43 years old. I have had mild genus valgus since a child. Only recently am I starting to get arthritis in my left knee. Is knee osteotomy a good option for me at my age? I am 5'6'' and 150lbs. Very active-hiking, walking, anything outdoors really when I am not at work. Also, does insurance cover the cost if you have arthritis in one of your knees?

Hi. Im 43 years old and have been having problems with my periods. I will be a month late, or sometimes even 3 months late. They will be heavy sometimes and light other times. This started about 3 yrs ago. My baby boys father passed away in 2004 and I stayed single for at least 8 yrs. After awhile of being alone, my family thought it was time for me to move on with my life, so I decided to start dating again. well I meet this great man and ever since we started having intercourse. All these problems started happening. Missed periods, unusual headaches, and even real bed UTIs. I have even been getting real upset over nothing. I cry almost every night over things that happened years ago. Last year I only had 6 periods. I know im not pregnant. I have taken at least 15 pregnancy test over the past three years and all negative. Sex has been painful for me, but I was assuming it was because I didn t have sex for almost 8 yrs. Just wanted to know if anyone had any advice. Thank you so much.

Hi I just found out that my SGPT is 43 (37 is the upper range). All other counts - bilirubin , cholesterol , triglycerides are fine. My WBC count is slightly low - 3.5. I am concerned because my SGPT was 20 just 9 months ago. In the last 9 months I have modified my diet to include a lot of protein (fish, eggs and poultry) and good fats (olive oil, sesame oil coconut oil, completely avoid industrial PuFA oils now - oil is used for salads, and for pa-frying or grilling, never deep fried), avoiding all processed food and starches to get healthy and fit. I have lost 5 kg in the last 9 months and am leading a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise. So I am baffled by this result. My GP thinks I could be having too much olive oil. I m wondering if it could be excess protein - I am supplementing with whey protein everyday. What could be the reason for the increased SGPT? I m a 39 year old female. Used to be vegetarian (no eggs, fish or meat) till 9 months ago. Now weigh 55 kg with body fat% of 30%. I used to be 60kg with body fat of 35% last year. Could it be the changes in my diet that has caused this? I do not have hepatitis. I feel fine and healthy and energetic and look forward to exercise every day. Would appreciate an explanation of the increased SGPT.
