i had a tkr a year and a half ago and have had pain from the very begining , im 50 years old not over weight but had it done due to severe degenerative arthritis.. waliking is not to bad but trying to get up after sitting his hell, it pops clicks, has stayed warm since the surgery, and always swollen...this whole point of the surgery was to get rid of the constant pain.. i just basically traded one for another...my dr keeps telling me it takes time,..i had a biomet implant...i need to find a dr who would be willing to look at this but i keep being told most doctors wont take someone elses mistakes. so am i going to have to live in pain for the rest of my life

Hi. I am a 49 y.o. female. Six days ago, I fell on my cement floor, directly on my knees. Initially I just had a bad scrape on my left knee w/o swelling. 3 days after my fall my left knee and lower leg are quite swollen. It is only painful to climb stairs or bend the knee. I have elevated and iced it daily. The swelling persists and I measured the difference between the knees. My left knee is nat least 3 inches bigger than the right. Do I need to see a doctor? Thanks
