Does Otocomb Otic Ear Drops Help In Removing Fluid In The Ears?

Hi, After seeing my dr for a blocked ear, due to copping water in my ear from the beach, I was prescribed otocomb otic ear drops for an ear infection. The dr said that it should clear the water from the ear also. Is this true? The more I use the drops the more I feel I m loading my ear with water. And if so how long will this take to disappear? Thanking you in advance.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your doctor is suspecting the ear infection. In infection because of inflammation swelling can be present and more secretion can occur. So ear blockage present in your otoscopy examination. Complete the course of prescribed antibiotic ear drop. If no improvement then consult otorhinolaryngologist again for examination.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
