How Can Pain In My Leg And Soreness In The Muscle Be Managed?

Hey there. I have this pain in my leg and I noticed it when I got up from bed. It feels like how your arm feels after you take it out of a blood pressure machine. I’m not sure if it’s a blood clot or just a sore muscle. My family has a history of blood clots so I’m just worried

Hello,

Your symptoms are not suggestive of a blood clot, as you are not having any swelling or changes in skin color. It could be tendinitis or arthritis. I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR, uric acid plasma levels). In the meantime, I recommend taking ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
